It’s a little different from the transportation pioneers used to cross the plains, but the 53-foot refrigerated trailer provided to event organizers by Wanship Transportation kept the food cool and the ice cream frozen during Bountiful’s celebration of Pioneer Day, which is the 24th of July in Utah.

Mormon pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847, and between 1856 and 1860 thousands of Mormon immigrants crossed the plains via handcart. Handcart days celebrates the efforts and accomplishments of those pioneers.
